  • The restaurant is located on a hidden street off Via del Corso. This is a true Italian trattoria, family-owned and operated. We showed up a little late and it was busy—thank goodness we made reservations. We had some challenges ordering at first because the server didn't speak English. We think she was the owner's daughter because she called him "papa"! She had somewhat of an attitude initially, a bit grouchy, but things improved as the dinner progressed. The location is rustic and quite small with just a few tables, so it tends to be noisy, with lots of aromas and visuals of different dishes that can make it hard to decide what to order. We ordered an appetizer of crostini with burrata tartare (€16) which was decent, the bistecca alla Fiorentina for two, medium rare (€60), which was delicious—tender and juicy meat—insalata mista (€8) with fresh tomatoes and delicate dressing, insalata di patate (€8) which was not bad, and an amazing tiramisu (€8) plus coffee (€4). For drinks, we had beer (€4) and a carafe of red Rosso Bolgh, 1 liter (€18). The total bill was €130. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, so it was perfect for us.

  • A Wonderful Dining Experience! A small, cozy, and beautifully decorated place with a unique, traditional atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the very first moment. The menu is diverse, offering options to suit every dietary preference. We visited the restaurant twice, which gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes—all of them were exceptional! The staff is polite, friendly, and genuinely cares about the guests' experience. We especially appreciated the attentiveness of the waitress who took our order, as she thoughtfully guided us through the menu with great recommendations. It’s rare to find such outstanding service, where you can truly feel that they don’t just serve food but create a complete dining experience. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality offered, and the restaurant’s central location near the Duomo makes it a perfect choice to pair with a leisurely stroll. We will definitely be back!

  • We found this family owned place around the corner from our rental. I looked in and saw a lot of local workmen having lunch. My policy is if you see locals eating it’s got to be good and reasonable. Right on both counts. I had the boar ragú and my lady had the stew . Excellent! We came back twice more for dinner. The steak, the cheese platter, the local wine very satisfying .Considering we were in Florence for 6 days that says a lot.

  • Food is amazing no doubt. Give it a try and the bistecca will be just perfection. The ragú for the parpadelle was delicious. I would go again although the reason for the 3 stars in service is because I noticed something off: by coincidence seems there were some family members of the owner or similar eating by the time we got there and the service and even the quality of the food served to them did not look like the one that was being served to the other clients in the restaurant at that time, for example I saw they got the good salt for the meat while the rest got simple refined supermarket salt. I did not like that, the difference felt obvious and all clients there were paying for the same service and food. Perhaps they should have another room for special guests or similar as that does not give a good impression to clients.
